No way, we need to send in Swat and Navy Seals and Army Rangers and get that filthy cleric out of there so he can be dragged through the streets and beatin with sticks and clubs.

Absolutely not. That would only give them the victory, not to mention spark utter chaos in the region. We have to stay the course and make the region stable no matter how long it takes.
