Although mp3s are extremely useful, Cd's get my vote. For one thing, mp3s are compressed so are not as good quality. They can be very easily accidentally deleted, I found out the hard way =(

To me an mp3 is just a copy, whereas a CD is the original (if that makes sense to anyone else).

MP3s... so much more versatile and on a computer the sound is fine if you have speakers. But a CD if you are in a car or something...unless you have an MP3 player or a laptop.

MP3s- you can store so much music on one handheld device, there's no need to open a cd case and take out cd and put it in the CD player, less convenience i suppose. why spend so much money on albums and singles when you can download limewire for free and get your favourite tracks from there on? also, it is very rare to find unreleased and remixed versions of songs on cd, which is why limewire is great as it has a huge musical database of tracks, remixed and so on, that you cannot find on cds. also, for instance, on some CD LPs, there are like 12 tracks and yet there are a few of them that you dislike, whereas with MP3's and MP3 players, you can select your favourites, plus on limewire you can hear a brief sample of a track and you can decide whether you want to download it on your MP3 player, i- pod etc. plus, i can listen to what i want, when i want.

I prefer mp3s - all my music in one place. Also, it stops people from pinching my CDs and MP3s take up less space in my house. Although, I would be gutted if I lost them all...
