Good Democratic Party Ideas:
1.) Legalizing gay marriage.
2.) Keeping abortion legal.
3.) Universal health care.
4.) Universal college education.
5.) Funding for stem-cell research.
6.) Separation of church and state.
7.) Protecting civil liberties.
The Democratic ideal has been progressive since at least the days of Frankin Delano Roosevelt. All Republicans support universal misery - rich Republicans want to oppress everyone else, and poor Republicans want everyone to conform to religious orthodoxy.
How can you believe that American-liberalism is somehow communistic? Our society can't function unless everyone has the opportunity to improve their lives and/or live a decent life. Read a book or a serious political journal, and stop listening to Rush Limbaugh.

Hmm. . .
1. Keeping abortion legal. In keeping it legal, it will remain regulated, and not everyone will be able to "perform" the procedure, thus killing more than the "poor babies". Democrats know that passing a law doesn't solve anything - education does.
2. Allowing everyone to retain their civil rights and follow the constitution. Evidentally, I thought it was a given to follow the constitution. But the republicans proved that was not the truth.
3. Getting the republicans out of office. But that was a group effort. So I guess that Democrats can't take all the credit for that.
4. Getting our troops out of Iraq. There was NO reason for us to be there in the first place, other than vengence. So it is time that we realize that we need to stop losing our nations soldiers to a lie and get them home.
5. Standing up to the ones that thought they could do as they wish without any repercussions (Cheney. . .). Now there will be some sort of accountability for things done illegally without the blind support of those meant to do the checking and balancing.
Don't you think that if the Republicans were doing a better job, that the American people would have allowed them to remain in office? I think the ones to blame for the Democrats to be in office now are the Republicans themselves. The Democrats couldn't have done it better themselves. Thanks for all the help, and see ya again in 2008!!!!

Fighting for Peace.
Immigration Reform that is humane and sensible.
Election Reform. Yes, let's make sure that every vote is counted.
Inclusion of all americans in the political process. That's what American Democracy is all about, isn't it?
Investment in alternative energy research. Instead of giving oil companies billions in subsidies, use those billions for research.
Protect our environment. Surely, all americans want clean air, water, and preservation of forests and beaches.
