They need to be plain, so my daughter can wear them for school, but all I can find are bold stripey ones! She doesn't like tights or trousers & with winter coming I struggle to keep her legs warm, so either over the knee socks or leg warmers seem to be the only other options. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Marks and Spencers tend to have more traditional style socks. They have most products on their website.

I had to look for a long time too. I finally found them at either Sears of JCPenny. You might also try Dollar General. I did find them there once, but it was quite a while back.

Once I found them, I bought several pairs.
Good luck!
