The lack of dialogue. It seems like whenever you meet somebody with differing political perspective, they immediately set out to disprove your ideas, instead of engaging in a conversation. None of us are going to CHANGE each other's minds. And trying just results in argument.

People who are so entrenched in the two-party system that they won't consider looking at an Independent because it's "throwing their vote away".
I think if everyone who was inclined to vote Indie actually did, instead of voting Rep/Dem to "make sure the other guy loses even though I don't like the candidate I'm voting for", it'd be a huge surprise for the candidates (and for other Independent voters!).

There's no loyalty, look what Bush did to Rummy. Take a look at this question to the president by a reporter. Question "You said just two days ago over the weekend that Rumsfeld was going to serve the last two years." Answer "Yeah, I knew that. I thought that was the case, but I didn't know that we were going to lose.

The independent candidates don't get any publicity, no TV debates, hardly anyone even knows who they are or that they are even running. Money shouldn't be a factor in who gets to speak.

I am upset with the harassing and name calling for having different views and a different life than other people on here.
My views are shaped by the life I live and people should respect that even if they are not going to agree with me!

I really dislike straight ticket voting. How can a voter think that everyone in one party is right for the election?

From recent sad events...
That persons ignorantly voted in persons simply because they were democrat...not taking into consideration that most of these persons are LIBERAL thinking and will bring immorality to a new high in the USA...just voted democrat because they all hate the President because of the war in Iraq.

That politicians try to buy votes by pandering to groups and dividing the population. Why can't they stick to principles?
