No, you're right, they haven't seemed to be making music anymore. Maybe they're busy with other projects. A lot of musicians tend to go behind-the-scenes and become producers or songwriters when they get older. Maybe that's what they're doing. Anyway, I saw Brian McKnight on a VH1 special about the 90s the other day, so I know he's still alive.

i dont think it's that they've gone quiet...i think it's just that they don't get airtime anymore on the radios because the music industry is so focused on chugging out hits that they ignore the good classic artists. they're looking for younger, fresher artists and sometimes real musical talent is compromised. so that's why we're hearing less actual musical talent from people like toni braxton and brian mcknight (although there are still some talented artists who are making hits today).

I heard for awhile that Tone Braxton was into acting. I loved her singing. If you want to see her acting, she has a role in the the movie "Kingdom Come" with Whoopie Goldberg. She plays a mistress or somethng like that. The movie is really funny!

These artists and their styles of music are currently out of fashion.
It's swings and roundabouts, but in another five years i bet one of these artists will have made a comeback.
