Suppose someone made a wish on a magic lamp that everyone on the planet would suddenly know everything everyone else on the planet did, is doing, and what their future intetions are. Theoritcally, if we knew everything everyone was doing, their would be no more crime. Polititians wouldn't be able to take kickbacks because we'd know, you wouldn't walk into a certain dark alley because you'd know a man inside would stab you, no one could launch a supprise nuke attack, and so on. It could be a chance to create a utopian society. The flip side is that everyone would know everything you ever did and you'd have no privacy. Would you think this would be an acceptable trade off? If this was put to a vote would you vote for it?

No, the world would become drone then. If every one knew everything about every one, and could see the future, than every thing that would happen, wouldnt happen, it would be constantly changing, their would be no set future because every one would be changing their decisions that they would make.

I think if it were to occur the sudden shock of so many different ways of thought and ideation would probably drive most people to suicide or insanity. And since those shared thoughts would include the insane, the psychotic and the psypathinc I'd consider that there is a good chance it would lead to anarchy rather than utopia. Should it occur gradually over a few hundred years it might lead to utopian or at least an honest social order. But a sudden change like that is not something the human mind is generally capable of adapting to.

the good effect may be that since everyone knows all others' intentions, everyone will work doubly hard so that no one will beat them to accomplishing what they would have wanted to accomplish first.

the flip side is that those with the money are the ones who will prosper the most because they have more means to develop faster.

a drawback can be disastrous, though. since everyone will know all others' intentions, everyone may start waiting for each other (even if it will be very transparent by then) to make the first initiative for good deeds, especially charitable or altruistic deeds. what will happen will be a collapse of initiative, and a boom of apathy.

so no, i'd rather we keep our privacy, and let our hearts and minds dictate the goodness and good sense we have to offer without outside influence.

I think there was a movie with Tom Cruise about prediction of a crime. And there is a good book that is called "Clockwork Orange". It was written by Anthony Burgess and it is about society without crime and about people who have no choice whether they are good or evil
And I think that it is not intersting to live among people who know everything about you and are absolutely clear to you. Everyone has his/her own little secrets. I don't want anybody to know mine
I vote: NO

I think generations that grow up in a world where all thoughts are interlinked in this manner will lose their sense of individuality. For people that cherish their individuality, this is a dark dystopia. Borg, anyone?

I would not want it and and my vote ids against it because
You would be able to read the mind of your own so called kith and kin, wife, and children and so called friends. You will not like the way they think about you.

I wouldn't go for it. It would be incredible in some aspects, but man...life would get boring! Never being challenged again in anyway..nothing else to learn...wow..I couldn't do it. I don't want things handed to me.

I think that would be total overload of our senses. To have that much information propelling toward us? Plus there are just some things that I don't want to know about.
