How did he even get a record deal? I want to know the idiot who gave him a record deal.

I disagree. I think he has a very unique voice and I like his songs. Yes they may be a bit cheesy but they are nice.

Well to be honest he does sound abit like a girl, but apart from that his voice is pretty decent. And besides there are alot of singers that have voices that make them sound as if they are the opposite Gender. As to your Question I think that he might have gotten the record deal because he had written his songs on his own he can also play a few instruments and as I said he has a decent voice. So why not? Their are alot more worse singers out there! right??

Well, I have discovered that you don't have to have a great voice to get rich and famous, some examples: Ashley Simpson, Tom Petty (although I like his songs anyway), Madonna and Bob Dylan (a living legend). But the worst is William Hung from American idol. James Blunt is just another in a long line of people who make my ears bleed.

Linda Perry of the group Four Non Blondes, and I don't think he has a horrible voice. It's very unique and in this age of production to give the illusion of talent (Britney Spears etc) it's refreshing to hear a voice that isn't perfect.

OMG after months of hearing just about everyone say he was great, I have met some like minded individuals! lol I wanted to rip my ears off when I heard him on Oprah, yeah the song has nice lyrics but his voice is awful!

My friend listens to him but I think his voice sounds weird. Not because of his accent but because it's just high and a man's voice is supposed to be deep. I don't like men who sing love songs. It just doesn't sound right...

My kids and I crack up every time we hear "goodbye my luva" on the radio. His songs all seem to be about what a sad sack he is since his girlfriend left him.
