why do you care whos wearing what dating who and all that other crap you elevate these morons to damn near godlike status these people dont care about you they never will why get so wraped up in these people? is your life that boring or misarable?

Unfortunately some peoples life's are that boring, And that is why the celebrities are paid the ungodly amounts of money, because we lift them up to be that important!

Unfortunately, my life is pretty dull, but only compared to a celebrities' life. The reason why people are so fascinated by famous people is because the media is always there, pushing it into our faces. We can't escape it so some people just give in to it, heck, we sure can't stop it or fight it. It all reminds me of that song by Bowling For Soup "High School Never Ends". It starts when we're young and escalates the older we get. Besides, compared to some of these famous people, I look damned normal! :)

Mind control from the media. Their the ones turning these celebrities into "gods". Mostly by making them front page material next to more important events (the war, crime stories, etc) in the newspapers and the news on TV. (After a tragic news story, they go right away to what's going on with a particular celebrity) The reason the media does it is because they are getting paid by either the celebrities themselves or their promoters to advertise their lifestyles. Mostly it's the popular celebrities who need this for their fame, which in effect gives them their fortune, when you go out and watch their movies, go to their concerts, buy their music, CD, DVDs, and anything else with their name on it.

It goes both ways...they think that we idolize them but the truth is if we were to actually meet these people, chances are we wouldn't like them so much. Its just a form of entertainment. Most people dream of having millions of dollars and and looking great and thats exactly what the media shows us, so it's appealing. Most people realize celebs really don't have a perfect life but the character that has been created from them sure is fun to watch a lot of times. People like to dream and celeb life allows people to do that.

My life isn't boring per-say haha...but I don't go around looking for gossip, I usually just hear about it on the news or the internet. It's interesting to hear about them because we realize they're actual people too! haha ;)

I have no idea why people care about the sordid lives of complete strangers, just because they play characters on TV and movies or sing dumb songs. I don't think their lives are more interesting than mine. Just more messy...
