School project and i can not find info on this so please help!!

Well, I'll tell you the little I do know. Her mom came from Cuba when she was young. She was in a horrible bus accident resulting in her having a broken spine. She is important because she was one of the most successful spanish "cross-over" acts in the 80s and 90s.
