it will be
=(x-x)+(11/4-2/4)
=0+9/4
=9/4

re write it like this:

x-x+11/4 - 2/4 =

then x-x=0 so...

11/4 - 2/4 = 9/4 or 2 1/4 or 2.25

with a positive and negative x, you can simplify by getting rid of the x

x-x = zero so that comes out to zero

.you have 11/4 minus 2/4 then, which turns out to be 9/4.
