MR. SIEGEL: Have you seen the DeWine race and the Santorum race and -- I don't want to --

MR. ROVE: Yeah. Look, I'm looking at all these Robert and adding them up. And I add up to a Republican Senate and a Republican House. You may end up with a different math, but you're entitled to your math. I'm entitled to "the" math.

MR. SIEGEL: I don't know if you're entitled to a different math, but you're certainly entitled to --

MR. ROVE: I said you were entitled to yours.

By the way. DeWine and Santorum both lost.

I am honestly hoping to see bipartisan cooperation between the executive and legislative branch's. However I also like to see arrogance knocked down a few pegs, especially when it comes to politicians.

Fans of Rush always say "I's just entertainment. Don't take it so seriously"

Well my question is meant as entertainment, not to be taken so seriously. To the person who asked I do know the history of the 1948 election and that headline. I was speaking figuratively.

YAWN, you won, the election is over, now do try to act like an adult and shut up.

Democrats, sore losers, sore winners, what will make you clowns happy?

No. Dewey Defeats Truman was a mistake by a newspaper (Chicago Tribune, I think, but I'm not sure) caused by using polls to figure out the winner before it was official, so they printed the wrong winner in the paper and looked really stupid.

Rove talking smack before the election is not the same thing at all.

Closest we have had to that recently was 2000, when both sides were projected to have won Florida, before it was decided that it was too close to call.

Not quite. Rove was in a panic and full blown denial. The Chicago Tribune printed up two cover stories for the election and sent the wrong one out to the public. The Tribune did endorse Dewey though.

Still assuming no "WWE" advantage: Terry Funk. As I said before, if he couldn't out-wrestle you he'd out-fight you. If he couldn't out-fight you, he'd out-"crazy" you. Bret Hart. Hate to see Dynamite leave so soon, but the Hitman would just out-wrestle him and make him tap to the Sharpshooter. Sting. A little better wrestler than Savage, I think. Sting would win by submission to the Scorpion Deathlock. Chris Benoit. Damn...what a match-up! Chris' strength advantage would be the difference here. Dean would eventually tap to the Crippler Crossface. Kurt Angle. As great as Owen was, so is Kurt. Kurt's meaner and more ferocious. No submission here, Kurt would just have to wear Owen out and pin him. Hulk Hogan. Hogan CAN wrestle. He's bigger and stronger than Austin, too. The Undertaker. Shawn's good, real good. I just think the Undertaker can beat him. Ric Flair. Flair had no trouble out-wrestling the big guys. The Rock would be no different.

This is nothing like Dewey Defeat Truman. What are you smoking.

By the way...I don't need anyone to tell me that Santorum lost. He was my Senator for 12 years. I don't vote one way or the other. I vote for the person I feel is the best quallified. I think this country messed up when it thinks they can vote out people just to "say they don't like the president". If that is the case...then when we go to vote they should have a question...do you like the president...instead of what we just did.

You are showing your ignorance when you post a question like that. You need to go back and take some history in school. I have been out of school for 25 years, but I still remember American History.

I think Rove was using the same math he did for the Iraq War, faulty math. They knew as well as everybody else did that the Republicans would lose the House. What they weren't sure about was if the Republicans would lose the Senate also. Bush lied and was trying to give false hope that the Republicans would win both Houses just like he has for the Iraq War. If they truly did believe they would win both, that just shows you how out of touch with reality his administration is.

No. The prediction was the Dems would take the House and possibly the Senate. They exceeded expectations. When Truman won, no one, absolutely no one, thought he had a chance.
Cheney and Rove are probably running their shredders overtime right now. They have lost touch with the country.

Not at all. I don't think the results were a surprise to anyone, perhaps except Mr. Rove. He obviously had his rose-colored glasses on at the time of that statement, and was sorely out of touch with reality.

I'll bet he's in tune with reality now.
