Is he really that level of player to step in for Sundin, To me Sundin was the one player the Leafs could not loose. I know it is only three weeks, but they are going to be fighting the whole season for a playoff birth. Everyone gets up to play them. I hope the kid explodes for you guys. I have been reading all of posts on here about him. He has a real opportunity to shine. I really hope he makes the next step. As far as a prediction, I will abstain. I just have not watched the kid a lot, and a point a game should make you a happy Leaf fan. Just my ramblings.

How many has Sundin had? I doubt we'll see it happen again this year from Wellwood, Sundin, or any other Leaf.

well Sundin is out for like 4 to 5 weeks.
Wellwood was lucky and he might not ever see one again in his career so don't get all cocky now.

not many sad to say but i bet he gets a bunch of assists he doesn't shoot often enough for my taste but what a great vision he has of the ice surface and good anticipation of the play as it unfolds
