No you would be spitting into a big hole. What are you asking? But when you look up to the night sky you looking possibly billions of years into the past.

No, you'd be spitting into a big hole in the earth - the contents of which may have held some remnants of the past until you excavated them.

You would have to dig really deep. Dinosaurs go back a long way, unless you can find a site where there are dino bones near the surface, the hole would be to big, and you'd need a crane to get in or out. Archaeological sites would be better, close to the surface, but you'd only be going back a thousand years or so.

In theory yes, that's the principle of superposition. But sedimentary layers can become tilted or even inverted, so there's a possibility you'd be spitting on the future.

there is no past. no future to spit on. you spat or will spit. just an event that happened or will happen. realise that and you will be smart.

All that hard work to create a big hole just to spit in it. Do that and you are Downright silly.
