I think it is kind of a stereotype... but I believe it is a same question as asking, "why do the Germans seek the perfection?"

You'd need a psychologist, too, if you lived in a land-locked country but still had to pay taxes to fund a national Navy, like they do.

I was not aware that Austria had many famous psychologists..
I know of a couple but not enough to make Austria noteworthy
as a hotbed of psychological geniuses..

Sorry, call me thick but I wasn't aware they had, I have no interest in anything to do with psychology so would never bother reading up on something like that.

The Austrians are somewhat *nuts* appropriate to the technological awareness. Re the german steryotype, ask them. they have thier own national solutions website (see flags under). Be warned however, I very almost guarentee that your Q gets bounced and barred, no count how diplomatic you placed it. in fact, all answerers to this Q try the germans your self. See in case you all get the comparable reaction as I did
