I think it is kind of a stereotype... but I believe it is a same question as asking, "why do the Germans seek the perfection?"

could be that alot of science journals were written in german at the time and alot of the main people at the start of it like freud jung and others whose names I do not know were german speakers.

The Austrians are extremely *nuts* about the technology. Re the german steryotype, ask them. they have thier personal nationwide solutions website (see flags below). Be warned although, I virtually guarentee that your Q receives bounced and barred, no count number how diplomatic you position it. in truth, all answerers to this Q attempt the germans your self. See in case you all get an similar reaction as I did
