This is something I was concerned about when I was younger, and as I've matured, the question has mattered less to me. When younger, I think I was searching for meaning as a rationale for my life's purpose: if life means ________, then my beliefs and actions should be _______. Rather simplistic, admittedly, but an honest representation of my thinking processes at the time.
Now that I have matured and the cumulative effect of my actions is that I made a life for myself, I am less concerned about what it all means: I have a life I enjoy, I am generally a good person, I give to my community, and I give and receive love. What difference does it make what it all means? None, to me. I no longer believe in any objective meaning ascribed to life--we are all here just doing the best we can: some with lots of resources at our disposal and others barely hanging on.

We are always uncertain whether our life has a meaning or not. A friend of mine told me a few days ago that every young person is searching for the answer. And I said that it concerns everybody not only young people.
We have mind and emotions not only instincts as animals do so we have to over think something all the time. And meaning of life is such a global thing and there is no answer that suits everyone. So it is food for our mind.
Only pigeons and hamsters are satisfied with being. We humans question

It's is the big question, everyone I know wonder it no matter what religion they are, are even if they have no religion. The question for the search for the Meaning of Life is what we all wonder, especially when something awful has happened in the world..

I would say the same reason you asked this question.
Others may find that a search of this magnitude satisfies them, that is, the act of searching fufills a certain part of them.
Like an adventurer seeking the ultimate thrill, they will never be satisfied, but they enjoy the journey.

People are always searching because nobody wants to think their lives mean absolutely nothing. Nobody wants to think that life is just a coincidence.
This is why religion is such a huge business. It sells you the idea that there is a meaning for your existence and there is more in the afterlife.

Because for religious people, perhaps the religion that they are studying is not answering their questions.
and for others perhaps they feel like they have no purpose in the world and seek to find it.

We cannot be satisfied b'cas we don't truly understand it! And for those who have been told 'it is so and so' by their spritual masters, they have not experienced it. To know something thru someone telling us and to know it by our own self is different.
