I know there is a tool that will completely remove the grass in my yard. I hate Bermuda grass. I want St Augustine grass. This tool removed grass and rolled the grass like you see hay rolled up. What type of tool is this. It is very short grass... I just want it all gone. Please don't answer with a lame two word answer just for points.

Its called a sod cutter. And be sure to use it with live grass. dead grass just makes a bigger mess. Its very easy to use and should only take an hour or 2 to cut a whole yard.
BTW: The Sod Cutter wont roll the grass it just cuts it away from the dirt so it lays in a sheets on top after youre done cutting just roll it up yourself. Be sure to rake or roto-till the dirt before you lay seed or sod. Maybe even mix in a little peat moss to hold moisture.

The tool you mentioned only works with type of grass which grows long horizontal roots such as St. Augustine. It won't work for Bermuda.

Just kill them with Round-up and rake them out. There is a machine you can rent that basically scrubs the dead grass out of the ground, but you should talk to nursery for suggestions.

Use weed killer or vegetaion kill. The only problem with these products is that you can't reseed for about four weeks.

Call your local rental company, they probably know what you are talking about and have one for rent. I've seen them but don't know the name. SCORE 2 for me!
