What is the advantage of beingor even calling yourself a Republican or a Democrat if you aren't running for political office? Are union dues lower for Democrats than Republicans? Are laptop prices lower for Republicans then Democrats?

What good are political parties anyway? There are Republicans who are more liberal then some Democrats and some Democrats who are more conservative than some Republicans.

Enlighten me world. And would you establish a way to contact you if I have further questions.

I just had this conversation with my soon-to-be-of-voting-age daughter yesterday....I guess that I chose a party affiliation after I spent 7 years as a social worker within the federal social welfare system and saw, first hand, that liberal social policies have kept slavery alive and well in the wealthiest country in the world. The only benefit that I have been awarded because of my party affiliation so far is spirited debate when I wear my "proud to be a republican" T-shirt and I actually leave my house.....and by the way I live in one of THE most liberal states in the nation....Connecticut!! Other than offending many, enraging others and still making others happy, there are no real benefits to declaring a PARTY AFFILIATION. You can contact me by sending me an email to the address found on my profile page. Good luck with your answers....I "watch listed" this question as I am really interested what you will get for responses.

I will most probably continuously be unbiased. (However, I've been noticing that for the final few years, the extra determined and reckless the left will get, the extra the GOP appears to be production precise statesmen. It's exciting, additionally, to notice that within the final four presidential elections, the left has had progressively dumber and not more skilled applicants. In 2008, the highest 3 for president have been all first-time period senators with not anything else on their resume. This time round, just about the entire GOP applicants have extra revel in than the sitting president in all of the foremost locations. Intelligence and accomplishment have each fled the left totally.)
