In Missouri, it was called "Proposition 2", which was allegedly for "stem cell research". The private "for-profit" Stowers Institute provided nearly all the campaign funding for the misleading Prop 2 and the Stowers will reap much of the benefits from our taxes.

Prop 2 will not help the sick for many years, if ever. Also, there are proven dangers to the health of egg donors (women who will not be allowed to sue for any harm to their health, or even death, under the law).

Many voters, including some medical doctors who failed to read and understand Prop 2, and other well-meaning people who were handed Democrat "official" sample ballots that said to vote "Yes" on Prop 2 had no idea of the meaning of the 2100-word text of the proposition or what they were actually voting for. Time will tell. There will be a CORRECTLY WORDED proposition on the 2008 ballot to repeal this bad amendment to the Missouri Constitution, which passed by only a 1% margin.
