Either:
Girl, Interrupted
A movie that actually did make me cry. It's stark and frightening, and a dark, realistic look into mental illness and the institutes that claim to cause it. It leaves on an almost positive note - it shows recovery, and how everyone is ill in the first place - it's just what you do with your illness.
and/or
Cruel Intentions
Wonderful acting in a devastating story of love and war. It couldn't possibly be more original, and it is a message to everyone. What goes around comes around.
