I am an African-American woman and I am sick of everybody being racist. Some people think that black people have a chip on there shoulder. But I don't. I was always told never to hold a grudge and I never do. People spent all their life being mean to another race when the point in life is to be happy. Now I know slavery was one of the most horrible things you could do to a person but just think about this one question. I somebody killed one of you family members, would you hold a grudge against then forever.I'v seen people who have forgave them and forgot. Now please don't hold a grudge forever.

I am Black too, but I must admit there are some things we as Black people need to just get over. Slavery is still recent in our minds but the same has happened in many other societies throughout time, it is still going on. There are also "institutions" that encourage us to hold on to old sentiments because this is how they make their money. What is your question exactly??
Certainly racism in a broad sense is bad, but where does it really begin. She simple acknowledgment or appreciation of another culture or colour as being "different" is also to an extent the same thing.
As far as I can see even though some of us prefer to assume the role of victim, and even though maybe Blacks have not established and exploited large economic systems primarily based on slavery, considering the aforementioned degrees of racism, we are ourselves sometimes guilty of being racist. I forgive my enemies but remember their names, I have no desire to carry around the burden of hate.

By the way / or along the same line by which Coke dealers say they did not create the market demand for their product in the States, as justification for their drug production and distribution activities, we as Blacks should also acknowledge the facts that;
(1) Blacks sold their neighbors to the Europeans as well..
(2) The situation in Africa might very well remain the way it is because many of the leaders there (AS WELL) prefer to keep the larger population in a state of ignorance and depravity. Think about that.

I come from Jamaica, which is in itself an interesting story. I have also lived for more than three years in the most racist part of Germany, I can throw a stone into Poland, I have had a wonderful time. I am still black to the bone. I know what I am talking about.

My sister in England, a teacher, asked her 10 year students recently which was worse a biggot or a racist. They all replied one by one a racist. Funny cause I thought biggtry encorporated all the bad ism's. My Sista in the U.S. I am a white man married to an African and I have travelled the world. I have seen a high level of racism and biggotry in all races towards others. Go to Africa and you will see Albinos kicked about the streets by blacks, hutus killing tutsi's because they think they are less of an animal than a cock roach. Us humans are all basically pack animals and are always looking to fight our way up the food chain in the pack in some way or another. Have you never laughed at an "Ugly" joke, a "chineese" impersonation. The sooner you realise this is the world we live in and try to be the best person you can besides this fact the happier youll be. You are after all probabley some sort of a biggot.

P.S. I recently saw a film about a young black girl being the first to go to a white school in the south U.S. All she did to the whites who hurled abuse and death treats at her was pray that God would forgive them and let them into heaven after all who was she to judge. This worked for her, she was tested and had no stress in her life, it works for me too, like you I dont hate anyone. Try it!!

I agree. Sadly, there are still parts of the world where racism is rampant. I hope to one day see a time when all men will be equal. I'm tired of seeing others or myself being treated or looked upon as lower than someone else. We're all human and if you believe that humans started from Adam and Eve, we're all a mixed race. No one can trace their geneaology and not find an interracial mix. So for those racists out there...surprise! You're part of what you hate.

Racism is hilarious. Comedians Dave Chappelle, Carlos Mencia, and Russell Peters have made whole careers out of that truth. But I suppose my favourite shaggy dog story approximately racists got here from South Park. After protesting the exchanging of the South Park flag, which featured a black stick determine being hanged through a organization of white stick figures (the episode used to be a thinly veiled remark on South Carolina's refusal to take away the Confederate Flag from atop the state legislature constructing), the KKK modified from shouting "white energy! white energy!" to pronouncing they had to move house so that they would have a "scorching bathe! scorching bathe!"

Yes racism is stupid, unfortunately it exists in all of us whether we believe it or not. You can't blame someone for something that happen to someone else from someone else. We are all individuals on the same world. We are all different and not just in colour of skin. I hate it when someone looks at me with racist eyes and I am Caucasian.
If people would treat each other the way they themselves want to be treated the world would be nicer.

racism is everywhere, you think black people have it bad just try being hispanic. White people know that they are being racist against blacks but with hispanics we have it worst people are always racist against us but they don't want to admit it. Let me tell you what happen to me. I was going to wonderland with my parents then my dad looked behind him there was the police and tell told us to get out of the car I ask the policeman why they were arresting us and he said because I looked like the rapist because I'm hispanic.

I hate racism as well and unfortunately, it exists in most of us. In my background, there was a great deal of racism towards both sides of my family. I can let it hinder me and suspect everyone that is of that same nationality or I can look at it and say, "Isn't it awful that people don't see that we are all people and cherish the differences?"

Until we learn to all look beneath the skin features, beneath hair color, eye color, skin tone, shape of eyes, racism will continue.

What? I have nothing to do with slavery. Nor do any of my ancestors who came over here on a boat from Denmark with NOTHING.... NADA.....NObody in my family was ever involved in or endorsed slave trading. But, thanks for reminding me that because I am white, somebody could assume that I am not only prejudiced, but that I am in some way responsible for what a bunch of ignorant, cruel, selfish, greedy, ridiculous, shameful, and EMBARRASSING white men did a long, LONG, LONG time ago.

Racism is not only stupid, it is destructive, counter-productive and ultimately pointless. Why hate someone for the color of their skin when, if you take a moment to get to know the real person you will find many more valid reasons to hate them.
