In 1988 the official US Govt. total for marijuana deaths was 150, where cigarettes were about 300,000.

marijuana doesn't kill - but may be considered the catalyst for car accidents if used while operating a vehicle, drownings if used while swimming, accidental fires if you're careless with matches, etc. LOL
Yeah, I know this is a stretch... it actually has beneficial properties.

Directly? Few if any. However I'm sure there are automobile and other fatal accidents that can be caused by someone being stoned out of their minds.

No one has ever overdosed on marijuana or even signs of cancer from marijuana. But car wrecks while driving under the influence is accountable for 12% of car wrecks, don't know if their is any deaths for them though.

It has been conclusively shown that if you get high 10 times a week for all your life, for at least 20 years, you will score lower tests that measure how much you remember.
And we all know how a slightly worse memory kills! ;)
In, actuality, you can't die from marihuana, it might trigger underlying mental problems that you have, but it really doesn't have other ill effects unless you decide to dedicate your life to smoking pot everyday.

Marijuana is far less responsible for accidents (in general) than daydreaming, cell phones, domestic arguments. or screaming children.
ANY consiousness altering substance can inhibit driving ability, and their influence is illegal while driving.

none, you would have to smoke something like 9 lbs of it at once to overdose.
There are however people who are allergic to it and may have a reaction. theses are rarely if ever fatal though.
