Are there any primetime shows on for the family to watch? Besides the reality shows like AI and Dancing with the Stars. I'm talking a sitcom type show. Jericho is on at 8pm but I can't let my kids watch that. And look at Ugly Betty... again, on at 8pm. During the first Ugly Betty show I paid attention.... they said ***** Slapped once and used the B word several other times. Pretty much my kids have to be in bed with a book (and away from the tv) by 8pm. Its a shame... when I was a kid there was all kinds of good shows for us to watch as a family.

There are cable channels that woould meet your family viewing desires.
Broadcast TV shows what they show because advertisers buy ads for it and make money...the networks then make money. Enough people aren't offended by that stuff that they don't need to do family viewing.

We go through this same thing all the time. There isn't much emphasis on family shows anymore!

i guess that with the kind of shows on tv today, family viewing is getting obsolete. i'd rather stick to storytelling...
