Yale has a unique style of teaching in their medical curriculum, when compared to Harvard's curriculum--which is the better one?-- It would be nice to get responses from current students at both schools--but anyone with knowledge is welcome to answer.

I find Nascarluv's comments interesting, because she says the exact opposite of most rankings. Yale Law is consistently ranked #1, while Harvard Medical School is consistently ranked number one.

You can use the link below to get the US News Rankings. They rank Harvard as number one and Yale at number nine.

Of the schools that rank higher than Yale, the only real surprise is the University of Washington. It isn't really a surprise that Penn, Duke and Johns Hopkins rank higher than Yale.

Obviously any school in the top ten is a great school. In addition, some people might find the #9 school to be a better fit for them than the #1 school.

If your choice is between Yale and Harvard -- you can't go wrong in terms of the quality of the education. There is one thing that would tip the scales in Harvard's direction for me -- who would choose to live in New Haven when you can go to Cambridge?

Hmmmm, deciding on Med schools based on advice from a Yahoo answer site??????

How exceptionally frightening is THAT?

Personally, I'd pick Harvard, but since you need to be board certified to practice, either will give you what you want.....the question is, what kind of learner are you? A Theorectalist, who reads and receives lectured material? Kinesthetic? You learn by doing?

THAT determines which is "better", the school that suits your style and needs better.
Plus, you might want to attend a school that isn't completely in synch with your "style" so that you are forced to expand your learning repetoire, to learn new ways to learn....
