If you are using Windows (that's my assumption), then to get Windows to remember your window size/position settings, position and size the window how you want it, then hold down ctrl on your keyboard while you click the X to close it. Hopefully, that should work.

Update: I don't have IE7, but I have heard that a lot of people have been having various problems with it. If it's just that program, that would be my guess. I don't have a solution for you then, besides to use Firefox instead. (It's much better and more secure than IE anyway!)

Hmmm... It should work... the only thing I can think of is how you are resizing the window. If you resize it using the maximize button or dbl clicking on the blue bar it won't save that. Resize the window by click dragging the corners of the window, then close and reopen.

Default windows size.. since when did windows had a default size? (I mean your main screen which you get on booting the pc) btw have you changed the view resolution for your monitor.. that might be the culprit
