If so, with which part of the platform do you disagree?

I cannot agree with the social conservative aspect of the current Republican party, especially when it comes to stem cells, abortion and gay marriage, as I feel the government has no right to tell others what to do in these aspects. I am a Christian Conservative, an economic conservative

Conservative and Republican are not synonymous. Neither is being a conservative Christian and a Republican. I disagree with the GOP on a number of issues. Among them:

1. Stance on illegal immigration. Both they and the Democrats are soft on it. One is in the hands of business that wants cheap labor and one is in the pocket of Labor that wants new recruits to halt their fading power.

2. "Open Borders". I am firmly against any bill or program that weakens our national sovereignty. While the GOP isn't openly vocal about it (in order to keep their conservative base in line) they favor the push toward one world government just as the Dems do.

Those are my two largest reservations about the Republican party platform at this time. Issues come and go and more times than not I agree with the GOP but not always.

Yes, I disagree with many of the current Republican administration ideals. We need mass immigration reform. That is not a top priority of the white house today, nor of the GOP Congress, or what is left of them(ha!). I am more of an Independent, moderate, but I am a Christian and still cupport most of the GOP's beliefs regarding pro-life, ban gay marriage, and tax cuts. However, I do think taking the very rich is a good way to bring in more revenue. Like the rich would even feel that pinch!

I'm a conservative Christian, and I thought going into Iraq was a mistake. We're supposed to learn from history, right? In America, colonists fought for their own independence. If the Iraqi people wanted to be free from Saddam & tyranny, they should have banded together and fought for it themselves. Then "freedom" would actually mean something there. I don't think you can force "freedom and liberty" on people.

I also think the latest move in immigration reform is very two-faced. I lived in DC for years and personally knew dozens of illegals (I speak some foreign languages). It was EASY to find out who was here illegally. If our government really believed it was illegal, why didn't we enforce the laws?

I think it's a mistake to think that Conservative Christian = Republican atomiton.

I am a strong Republican, the only 2 platforms I disagree with are our views on abortion, I am for a womans choice, and not a government choice, and the other was Rumsfeld, but he is gone now.

I am a Christian and a Democrat...(what!?!?) That's right. I disagree with the Repubs on a number of things. First the death penalty. I am four square against it. Second, gun control. I am so against the NRA it is not even funny. Third, environment. Dems do much more to protect the Earth then the GOP even pretends to do. Fourth, taxes. Tax cuts to the rich is ridicules. I could go on and on....

I am against the (main stream) Dem. view on abortion and gay marriage...Neither party is 100% perfect. But the Democrats line up with my outlook much better than those wacky Republicans.

I disagree with protecting big businesses and sending jobs overseas. We should have changed strategies in Iraq a long time ago. It took us too long to begin protecting our border.

I cannot reconcile myself with the death penalty.
THAT'S IT!

I wish we would get tougher on illegal immigration but I think we are moving in that direction.
