High school? All right, but it's a good point anyway.

Remember maths? When was the last time you had to figure out the cosine of anything?

Remember PE? When was the last time you did a backwards roll?

Remember geography? When was the last time you double-checked what "type" a cloud was?

Remember physics? When was the last time you had to find out JUST HOW FAR you could stretch a rubber band?

Remember English Grammar? When was the last time you saw anybody on this site spell anything correctly?

I can't think of a worse way of teaching a child something than by sticking him in an overcrowded room and blabbing on endless about a subject he has little or no interest in.

I am still in high school-- I'm in the library at my high school, supposedly working on something for my notebook-- and I've learned quite a lot here.
I've learned quite a few useless things that I'm sure I'll forget in just a few weeks, if not days, but other than that, it's okay. All of the classes that I'm taking-- except French-- are full of info that my brain is waiting to soak up! lol... :-)

Truly I think I learned more life lessons in high school than I did actual information. Now college, that's a completely different story, I'm surprised that with all the information they crammed down my throat that I can function at all.

It really is! Carbuncle - ha ha. Honestly, folks, how often do you need to know the measurement of the other side of the triangle?!!

It is a wonder! But I did learn some good stuff in high school, like how not to get caught skipping, how to project my voice onstage(I loved drama class), and how to sweet-talk my way into a passing grade! So it wasn't a total loss.....

I do love that song :)
