I remember playing some team Texas Tech for a tournament when I was a freshman.. I was so nervous haha. I was a catcher and of course college is a different experience from highschool. The girl's are soooo fast. Well, I remember one girl stole 2nd base and she was safe. I wasn't fast enough to get the throw down there. then another chic tried another time and i threw her out. I had to throw off my knees just to get her out. I was so proud at that moment.
I remember in little league I made a pact with this girl to make it to play college ball, and when I did make it to play.. I remembered that we had both said it. Only I made it. I think that girl didn't even finish hs. But, i have so many memories with ball, so what's yours?

I was in the finals of my league against our archrivals. They had beaten us in the finals the previous year and in this year they won the first 2 games of he Best-of-five finals. We won games 3 and 4 to force a 5th and deciding game. My knees were shaking as I stood in the outfield for Game 5, as there was no fence and it was importatnt o not let up HRs. We trailed early in the game and by the 5th we were down 5-2. My brother hit a solo HR and I followed later with a 2-run HR to Right Center that got between the fielders. We went on to win the game and series. The other team had a broom at the game and champagne. Our rallying cry from that series was "Sweep This"!

When I was in Jr High I was playing RF in the game and somone
hit a high fly ball back behind shortstop. The left fielder went for it
as did the thirdbaseman, shortstop, secondbaseman, and the center fielder but all they did was make a circle and I saw all the
confusion and ran from right field diving in the middle of them all
and caught the ball inches off the ground.

I had a goal this season that I would hit a home run, as I have never hit one before, no more conservative batting. We had a double header and I hit a grand slam into right field. When I hit it I thought, 'I'll get a double out of this', but the coach just kept calling me home. That day I also caught 3 fly balls (I play left field), hit a double that got 2 home, and only got out once. Best day ever.

I was playing softball in a mens league with my daughter (my softball angel) in attendance. I was on-deck and she leaned through the fence and gave me a kiss for good-luck. I proceeded to hit a homerun over the left-field fence. My next at-bat she gave me another kiss for good-luck and I then hit a homerun over the right-center field fence. First time I ever hit two homeruns in the same game!

The other is when I was playing in a game overseas. I was in left-center and went for a line-drive to my left. I didn't see the right-center fielder coming over - nobody called the ball - and we collided. My little bones (tib and fib) hit his thigh bone and I wound up needing a 1 foot rod inserted in my right leg. To make matters worse I also broke some metacarpial (sp?) bones in my left hand. Needless to say it put me out of action for about 6 months.
