we need not go out and look for our partners. when the time is right the right person will come along and will cross your field of vision. your heart will tell you that's the right person for you. then you get to know the person and pray god that let what is Best for you happen. i believe that both god and we play a part in all our life's choices.

Seek out God's will and not your own, it's part of leading a "God-centered" life. You will find that God knows best and whatever He has planned is better than you could ever imagine. But don't forget that God listens to prayer and if you truly believe He will help you find what you are looking for. Proverbs 16:3. Be satisfied in God and His mighty power. Trust Him only.

Both - Let God direct you in the kind of guys you would choose from (guys that support you in your spirituality and will honor and respect you as a woman), and then you choose from there.
Once you've made your choice, pray about it, tell God that this is who you have chosen, and you want to know if he agrees that it's a good choice. He'll let you know in your heart if it's right or not.

I agree with Amy. God brings people together. That is why usually when two people come together through the wrong reasons (i.e. cheating) the relationship almost always doesn't last.
We have our own free will to choose who we wish, but yes, God's hand still moves in this world. His ways aren't our ways, and he brings certain people together for HIS reasons, so that they might work together they way he wants men and women to and to help each other attain heaven.
God's ultimate goal is to bring us back to him. And he uses marriage as his "model" to resemble the relationship between Jesus and the church........too bad so many people don't know that, however.

think we must know god's will before we make a choice in a marriage. to know god's will we need to read what god says. when we pick a mate we need to ask alot of questions and be upfront with our expectations of them before we marry.if we chose a mate according to god's word, there wouldn't be nearly as many divorces as there are.

I think I you are being obedient to the Lord - reading the Bible, praying, fellowshipping with others, etc. that's the Lord's will - He will bring you your future mate.
