My boss (he ) married to my colleague for 4 years, they have a lovely boy. It seems a nice happy family. In work, I often need to speak to him and e-mail him, as you do in work, my boss & I also go to many different conferences, but my colleague( his wife) works as a different rule, then she is not going to the conferences and after work drinks etc. One day, my boss ( he) made a confession to my colleague (his wife) when he got home after we have been to a after work party. He said to her’ I was flirting with him…’ but I have never even think about to flirt with him, he is not attractive to me in any ways! Then of course, my colleague got very jealous. I can’t understand why did he (my boss) do it???

sounds like he is either trying to pick a fight to end the marraige or to see if she would of even cared. Either way that was not cool to put you in the middle of it!

Well, were you flirting. Did you come across in a manner that was unprofessional in that sense. Rule #1, you don't dip your pen in the company Ink.

His perception might have been that you were flirting with him and he felt bad. Plus, he had spilled some stuff to you. Not GOOD.

You need to distance yourself from that situation asap cause it could get real nasty.

He made the pre-emptive strike to confess to his wife, now your stuck justifying/denying your actions in the case.

SOunds like he felt guilty for the thoughts of want to have an affair with you and made you out to be the scape goat.

ha! So he sinned. A coupla hail Mary's and an Our father or 2, a rapid swing around the rosary beads and he's all stable with god. If no longer the rest, the Catholic faith is extraordinary while it incorporates in seek of God's forgiveness. Bless 'em for their pragmatic attitude. i'm hoping they're ideal and all those fundies and their "burn in hell~ scare me ~ spare me" nonsense have been given it incorrect! I particularly like the Pope too. I recommend who else gets to placed on their ruby purple slippers to artwork!

Honey, this has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with his marriage. Tell him to leave you out of any discussions with his wife in the future. Then tell your colleague that you have no feelings whatsoever about her hubby.

He is trying to make his wife jealous which may or maynot make her wild in the sack as competition. He is walking a slippery slope

He wanted to do exactly what he did... He wanted to make his wife jealous, he wanted her to think he is appealing to the opposite sex and that others desire him. He was wanting to stir that little possessive and competitive pot inside of her to get her to compete for him again. You just happened to be a convenient person to target.

He was probably flirting with someone else and got caught, and made you the scapegoat! I wouldn't put up with it. I'd tell him off and find another job if need be. Good luck.

Trying to invoke jealousy. Confront them both and say it is time for the truth to come out.
