If so, what effect, if any, does that have on the content and modes of expression of your questions and answers? Do you self-censor at all and if so in what way? Do you believe that we should be engaging in any form of self-censorship here on Y!A? How about in the "real" world? Or are you one of those "just let it all hang out people" too proud to be anything less than what you really are? This is your chance here and now to "tell it like it is." So don't hang back and be a wallflower. Just dive in. The water's fine.

of course we are! i've made a lot of very good friends just like that. you get to know people who intrigue and interest you and you follow them. it's more than fun, want to join in?...i like the way you think, so i follow your questions and answers. yes, i self censor, don't you? more people should use spell check, but in the end it's all for fun, information, and to join with like minded individuals and make friends.

Sure, people follow you around and answer the same questions as you do. I've had it happen to me. I don't care. Anything I say can be read by anyone. I don't self-censor at all. The reason for that is, I want everyone to read what I have to say. I'm not hiding, nor am I attempting to hide anything. I'm an honest person and my main objective is to get my point across, regardless of the consequences. I've had questions deleted because of so called "chatting", so what. This is not a prize winning contest where one will be awarded some huge amount of $$. I rarely take anything serious or of value on here. (I have at times, but it depended on who it was written by) I don't even care about "the water being fine" My questions or answers are meek, polite, serious and far from being of a disgusting and sexual nature that others have posted, gotten away with and sit back and revel in their success of self satisfaction and get off on their voyeuristic ways in the mean time. Oh, there's lots of other more important waters to dive into by the way. But I earned a whole 2 pts. for this answer. Wow.......

I know there are people watching so I limit the contact options and don't use my real name or other contact information that helps some weirdo or enraged person find their way to my house, etc. Some have referred to that as cowardice, but I think it is smart to keep some measure of safety (and since I commonly get about 2,000 spam pieces in my email eacg week, I don't want the vultures to snatch up yet another "live" email address).

I answer questions frequently with sarcasm but always with truth and that sometimes gives me a pile of thumbs-down and sometimes an answer jerked when others said more outrageous yet politically-correct things. Yeah, we are being watched.

It's good there are people who will call you on bad behavior. And we all should mind our p's and q's in public anyway. The idea that we can say and do whatever we want when ever we want is immature and irresponsible. There are rules to follow on this forum and most people do. I am here to help when I can, not make trouble or be rude.

Reporting for violations is done by other members.

Nevertheless, sometimes I push the limits of my questions without going racist or outright insulting.

Implied insulting however....
