Bar Keepers Friend seems to work great on this kind of problem.
You can find at walmart or grocery in the cleaning product aisle.
It is a powder ( Like a comet can). Make a watery paste and put it on the mess and let it set for just a little bit. It should take it off.
This stuff works great on alot of things.

tooth paste with baking soda has always worked very well for me...
