A movie 35-40 yrs ago. About natural or supernatural disaster? A scene was fire in the shape of the devil?

I don't remember alot about the movie. I was very young at the time.
I think it was a 'made for tv' movie.
I think there was another scene where a road buckled up from underneath.
I think the fire scene was at the end. Really freaked me out.

Can you remember any of the actors?
It will be a hard one to answer from just that description (given that most answerers are probably younger than that)
It has very vague similarities to Stephen King's "The Stand" but is way off chronologically.

Sounds like it could be "The Car" starring James Brolin & Kathleen Lloyd from the 70's. The car was possessed by the devil. The car caused a lot of fires on the road as it drove by. Some scenes showed roads opening up. The end shows fire in the shape of the devil.

Oh, yeah! It was "Duel", a 1973 tv movie about a traveling salesman who is stalked by a posessed big rig. Dennis Weaver starred, and Spielberg (!) directed.... Freaky as hell!
