Do we embelish our backgrounds though to justify a question or an opinion

Well I admit to creating a false background on the odd occasion to serve the purpose of getting the type of answers I'm looking for, and it works. Do you lot?

No i'm pretty much me on here. Don't think i've ever told an outright lie, maybe made things sound a bit better than they actually were.
My personality is me. In fact you can pretty much tell my moods from the way i answer.

I get a lot of hatemail though, wonder what that says about me.LOL

My persona on here is the same as it is in real life except my real name as I hate it, I go on a bit just like I do in real life, I love to talk, maybe I could cut my answers down a bit instead of yabbering on I suppose, but I'm the what you see is what you get sort of person, that is if I could sort an avatar out, see now your question is having me yabbering.

Some people seem to use Yahoo Answers as a tool to spread their hate because they would be too chicken to go out on the streets and say these things.

Most people on here are decent people who are being themselves.

I put myself in the second category!

I am me here very much the same as I am at home. Depending on what mood I am in I can be sensible, serious, rude and a bit bit mad and unfortunately this can reflect in a lot of my answers, but I am exactly the same at home!! Pity my hubby and kids!!!!

I speak my mind off here and write my opinions in the same way on here, so no, my persona is my persona!
Why would I want to change me?

I think when I was a bit younger I used to try to give an impression that I was really cool and quirky and interesting...

Now I'm a bit older I don't bother, I just say what I think!

Pretty much of what I say is how I feel. I don't lie, but yes I guess there is always going to be a little embellishment. Human nature I guess.

They are different.

They shyest of persons can get on-line hidden behind their computer screen and say things to people they would NEVER say to their face.

Just human nature.

well it is a little like playing and dressing up.... I think people embellish or sometimes their true personaility shows up on here because they have to hide it in the real world.
