Do you mean a bus pass or a freedom pass? If it's a bus pass you want do what everyone has said, but if you want a freedom pass go to your local council. You need to fill in a form and get a Doctors letter stating why you require free travel. Hand it back to the council and they will make a decision as to whether or not you fit the criteria. If you are over 60, the council should have automatically sent you a letter and then you just take this along to your local post office and they will issue you with one.

Shops and stations sell them. If you are over 60 you get a free pass from the post office

Depends if you need a season ticket. I think if you want anything over a weekly you need a photocard. So take a passport photo of yourself to your local newsagent (that sells travel tickets) or bus/underground station and they can issue you one there and then. You just complete your name and they stick your photo to a card. Check out www.tfl.gov.uk
