Last MP was 9/15. started spotting on 10/12. The first spotting was red tinge discharge like, most likely implantation spotting. Then its continued daily. Sometimes its very thick but it is dark brown blood. I've had 2 Sonograms already one at 4 weeks and its showed the yolk sac. The other was tues. at 7.5 weeks and it showed everythings okay with the heartbeat visible and at 155. My blood test show that my levels continue to rise and my progesterone is fine. The nurses and dr.'s say everything is fine and that some people just bleed because of increased blood flow. I also have no cramping. Just some here and there but thats normal from the uterus and everything stretching. I had the same kind with my first child. But with my first child I had no bleeding or anything, Completely perfect pregnancy! Has anyone experienced anything like this or heard of this?

I've read that as long as it stays brown, you're fine. If it becomes red, heavy or clots then there may be a problem.

Our bodies do weird things for weird reasons.

If the hearbeat was visible at 7.5 weeks then it's time to relax, a little, or as much as you can. If something was wrong it most likely would have happened by now.

My suggestion, take a look at your diet and exercise. If we over do it, we will have more discharge and it's amazing what we can control with a change in our diet.

I'm 13 weeks along and was spotting from about 5-6 weeks until a couple weeks ago. I had the worst cramps also. My doctor saw a clot in my cervix and said it would pass, and I guess it did. Try to take it easy, sometimes it's just the old blood build up. Like the others say, as long as it's not bright red or clots it's fine. Put up your feet and relax, look at it like this, in a few weeks it should pass (but if it doesn't it's ok too!) and you'll have other goopy stuff coming out of there.....yuck!

I have not experienced anything like that but i do know that if everything seemed fine then it is most likely due to extra bloodflow and the fact that your cervix is a lot more sensitive. If you have sex rough sometimes it can cause some bleeding because of increased bloodflow and a sensitive cervix. If you begin passing clots or have severe pain i would consult your doc again but otherwise good luck

That was me! I lived in the hospital with my first baby because of the I was scared of the spotting. I had a miscarriage with my third baby and I'll tell you one thing, it was much different, It was bright red blood and it felt like my water broke and the cramps were unbearable. So, the dark blood is fine, don't stress out about it because you'll stress your baby out too. Just take it easy the first few weeks. Congrats!

I have... I am not 37 weeks pregnant and almost the entire 2nd trimester I was spotting and bleeding... my doctor could not find any thing. He did put me on bed rest for about a month and a half and it did stop for a short time. Try not doing any thing at all for a few days... stay in bed except to go pee... this may help.

My midwife says:

If you bleed with no cramping you are fine.
If you have cramping with no bleeding you are fine.
If you have cramping AND bleeding you need to contact a midwife/doctor.

Stop worrying! I know easier said than done. But all the extra stress and ultrasounds/testing/internal exams are not good for you or the baby.
