I think it is, but when someone tells you something awful it is horrible.

Ignorance is indeed bliss, but particularly in dating relationships. We tend to see our partners in a romantic, idealized way, rather than what actually is, but it often allows us to build close relationships with others. Think about it...if you knew the honest truth about everyone in your life, would you feel the same way about them?

Of course, ignorance in some situations isn't bliss (but just ridiculous), but thats another question in itself.

two edged sword this question... ignorance can be bliss if it protects someone from the horrible things in life.

but ignorance cannot be used when in trouble with the Police...it does not stand up in court.

It can be, but only if those around you have the decency to be ignorant as well rather than constantly trying to explain other points of view. Then ignorance becomes frustrating, and often violently hateful.

Up to the point where you have to think or die, then I feel the blissfulness will come to a screeching halt.
