That is natural, for some..when you are holding your baby on your chest to burp him/ her... it does put a little bit of pressure on your "air" and when you are patting the baby's back to get a burp out... it also must affect you too... or you could just call it sympathy bubbles.. ;0) If you don't want to be burping duets with your baby, ask someone else to do the job for you once in a while, like the father, grandparent, sibling, etc... You can choose when and where you are burping the baby also.. it's no big deal if it's in private and you are not embarrassed about it by yourself! You can laugh about it and the baby will start to laugh or smile with you!

That is so funny!!!! Do you think that maybe you think so much about the baby burping that you just do it too? I think that's hilarious. I just realized last night that I burp all of the time--without even realizing that I'm doing it. I'm really quite nasty and need to fix that.

Do you bounce as you burp your baby? Some people get a little bounce going on as they burp their baby. Maybe in a way, you are burping yourself as well if you are bouncing around slightly.

It happens to me too, practically evertime. I think it's just the pressure you're putting on the baby and the patting is making your burp too.

Do you eat while your baby is eating? I am breastfeeding so when I am about to feed I usually eat or drink something just before so it happens.

Thank goodness - I thought I was the only one. I've always assumed it's the patting and pressure against your own body. Thanks - - that makes me feel better!! LOL
