What you could do is get a feeding bag, Munchkin makes them, there is a big handle on one end, and a mesh bag that you put the food in; anything can go in there and your baby can gum it all he wants without risking choking. Frozen bananas, fresh fruit, vegetables, anything the whole family is having.
Other than that give him very soft foods, mashed slightly. Like cooked carrots, bananas, applesauce, peas, mashed potatoes, bread, pancakes, pasta etc. Use a blender or a food processor on harder foods, he can eat pretty much anything that way.
The stage 2 baby foods would also be appropriate if you don't want to make everything yourself. There isn't anything in them big enough to chew, and most brands don't add any preservatives. Gerber has a good variety and doesn't add anything you wouldn't want your baby eating. My son still loves the Macaroni & cheese, turkey & sweet potatoes, and apples & cherries.

try giving pasta with cheese or tomato sauce, scrambled eggs and buttered toast, strain the liquid from a can of veggie soup and feed him the veggies and noodles - or don't strain it but turn it into a stew by adding powdered baby cereal, apple sauce is EASY to make at home and you can keep some small lumps in it to chew....
make sure you cut pieces of soft veggies/toast/pasta into small cubes so their easier to chew without teeth

Stonyfield makes the yogurt in tubes (better than gogurt with all the sugar) We found our little ones liked that and were able to do that themselves (well mostly). Also try different and new fruits, like raspberries, watermelon, etc that break up easily. Ours also liked meats with different sauces - like sloppy joe - quite messy, but devoured it.

What about cottage cheese, apple sauce, mashed potatoes, cooked green beans, etc. I used to grind up foods in the processor for my kids. Things we were having for dinner.

you are not clear, is it baby food you have been giving him? My daughter is 7 months and she eats actual food we eat, with no teeth. eggs, bread, meat, mashed potatoes. just make the food small enough for him to mash it or swallow it.

You can give him anything as long as he can choke on it. Mashed foods are good, bread in small pieces. You can try cheerios or biscuits, he'll gum them until they disolve.
