I am democratric and while I am pleased at the outcome in both the Senate and House, I am actually more afraid.

Im afraid because when you look at the numbers overall, the entire country is divided and that cant be good for international relations.
Dems have 229/435 = approximately 53%
Dems have 49/100=49%,
Independents have 2/100=2%--->which means they could swing either way even though the Independent candidates have stated they would caucus with the Dems

Reps have 49/100=49%

It is almost like we have been and still are in an internal 'cold war' if you will.....Is it just me ?

An internal cold war is a good description of it....I hope we can focus on the issues rather than a 'tit for tat' struggle between Dems and Reps

I'm not sure whether you should be happy or not, but there is an internal struggle.

The country has been divided for the last 8 years or so and it has little to do with the war on terror. The country has been equally divided on other issues as well.

I agree, this whole country is sooo different but this is a large divide. Lets just do what is best for the ocuntry, and not care about parties.

Whenever dems are in control it is scary. They are weak. We need to be strong right now. You have every right to be afraid.
