At the precise moment in time when we ask ourselves "What shall be done now?" the decision will be based upon any number of variables influencing us at that time. The decision is also largely dependent upon the context in which the question is being asked. For instance - is this being asked prior to an event, or as part of a post-event evaluation? If it is being asked prior to an event, it is most natural to search through memories of past similar events and recall what was done then. If it is asked as part of a post-event evaluation, the answer would reflect the outcomes of the event and suggest ways of maintaining the resulting situation or improving it. For instance - after finishing this reply I would re-read it and edit if necessary. Then I would press submit. In other words, any answer is inconclusive because any event is simply succeeded by another event.
