If the president decided one day he wanted to quit his job like all humans do somtimes in they life can he just do i. I mean just pack his stuff up in the middle of the night and leave the white house. Can he do it? Isn't this a free country?

A President may resign from office anytime he chooses.

Yes - Nixon did just that. But it would be such an enormous blow to his political party that it would be unheard of, unless his own party wanted him gone as much as the rest of the country did. Again, Nixon is the only such example of that.

Yes. Nixon did it. Bush needs to see a Doctor. The Democrats in Congress should demand he have a public record physical. Cheney should also resign.
