There are lots of quick and easy ways to do this.. but i would suggest a sock over your hand with some warm soapy water and a little lemon juice. wipe each blind individuall with your hand ... this way you dont need to take them down

Ok I sell window blinds and some of the suggestions are going a bit to far. All you need is a feather duster to run along in between the slats on a reugular basis this will keep them clean, If there are any dirt marks you just need a damp cloth. Soaking them is a big NO as it will stretch/break/paint peel off/or mark them for life!

Buy a bottle of mean green, it works well for cleaning just about anything. Take the blinds down and outside. I usually put mine over a chair or on the picnic table. Spray them down with men green allow to sit for a few minutes. Spray to rinse them with the garden hose. This could also be done the the bathtub.

Venetian blinds in the kitchen is more trouble then they are worth. I say throw them out and just have curtains that you can throw in the laundry. Cleaning grease off blinds would be a pain.

If you're a busy working mom I suggest throw them away and hang a pair of curtains that can just be tossed in the washer when needed. Blinds near cooking area bakes on, steams on and they just thirst to absorb grease.

In a hot bath with two Persil washing tablets - then rinse with the shower and hang them on the washing line or just leave in the bathroom to drip dry.
I use this method on my vertical blinds - it means I don't have to take the weights and connecting beads off.

Use vinegar to cut through the grease (add lots to clean soapy dish-water). As for the actual cleaning, just be careful not to crease the blinds as they'll never go back to the right shape.

I put a sock on my hand and put white vinegar and a drop of washing up liquid into some warm water , that will get rid of the grease.
You could leave them hanging or put them in the bath, it's up to you.
It works for me and i just hate cleaning them!!!!!
