If he's smart, he can now blame everything on a Democratic controlled Congress.

You must have no sense of humor or even a sense of what is humorous. Humor tends, rather almost always "uncovers" a lot and brings a lot of things to light. Serious and humorous are nearly identical, it all depends on how you look at it. Take a funny movie plot; for example Big Daddy, replace the humorous character, played by Adam Sandler with a serious character of your choice and it's a completely different movie, with completely the same plot. James Bond/Austin Powers, Star Wars/Space Balls, O'Reilly Factor/Colbert Report, Caddy Shack1/Tin Cup/Happy Gilmore, Life/Chris Rock-George Carlen HBO, etc. Get it. Same plots, same issues, same problems, different perspectives. All, attempting to uncover and reveal the truth. Think about it... Question it... from multiple sides. Be open minded. Stay positive. Thanks.

Oh suuuure. Yes, I'm certain that the man who has handled the country and all of the complicated issues over the past 6 years is "scared" of Nancy and her colleagues.
I'm not overly concerned myself. I'm fairly certain that if the Democrats could do nothing of substance in their previous 25 years in power, they will also squander this latest opportunity.
Incidentally, the gains made by the Democrats in an off-year election with a sitting duck President are slight BELOW normal gains for this scenario.
Don't over estimate the effect.

I think that President Bush will continue to do the job a majority of the voters in this country elected him to do; protect, preserve, and defend the constitution and the nation and its people. I am grateful for his sense of humor and his pragmatic attitude. At least he is not grousing about a 'vast left wing conspiracy'.

Humor also keeps things from "being so dry". I don't think he's scared. If he could run for another term, which he can't because a president can only run for a maximum of 2 consecutive 4 yr. terms, I would agree with you that he POSSIBLY might be scared.

Unlikely. In a way he might be relieved. The Democrats that won were not far left progressives, but moderates. Bush too is a moderate (hence all the spending as opposed to being conservative). He's going to get his immigration plan for one thing.

President Bush isnt scared. He's a man who "looks 20 years down the road" for the future of the world AND this country. And he speaks from his own heart and NOT having his "strings pulled" by 'oz-like people behind him.

Well, all I know is that dumb, uneducated Americans are stuck in Iraq!
WAIT! Was that a joke? Oh man ... what I REALLY meant to say is that GW is dumb. Drat! I botched the joke, again.

For once he MEANT to be funny and he wasn't -- oh I love the irony! I don't think he's scared, just angry, now he can't reward his oil buddies and Haliburton as much. Unfortunately nothing will happen to him for doing so in the past.

Yes, but he could end his fright simpy by resigning, along with Cheney, and allowing the American people to complete their desire for change.
