Yes, that is what I did. Also, take a home preg test, see what the results are, if they are neg, wait a few days, if still no period then call, keep the preg test (I don't know if there is a way to perserve them where the results aren't lost) to take to the doc with you, they can do a blood test if need be, which is more accurate.

If you haven't done so, take a home test. They are cheaper than an office visit. However, if you took an hpt and got a negative result, but still think you are pregnant, then call your Dr. and tell them exactly that. Let them know you want a blood test to make sure.

You usually speak to a doctors receptionist. Just tell him/her that you suspect you might be pregnant and would like to book an appointment for a pregnancy test. She'll tell you if you have to bring anything with you and give you a date for the appointment.

You don't have to say anything....just make an appointment. If you are asked what it's about then just say you want a pregnancy test. Nothing to be afraid of.

If you've taken a home pregnancy test, you tell them that you got a positive result. They will take it from there.
Good luck!

If you took a HPT with a positive result, call your gynecologist's office to make an appointment to start your prenatal visits.

Yep. You might take ahome preg test first, but that is exactl;y what you say. They won't see you before you are 6-8 weeks past your missed period though.
Good luck! (And congrats!!!)
