Where did you get that reference to the Step Pyramid? I don't believe there are any curses there. There are some in private tombs near there at Saqqara, but not in the Step Pyramid complex itself. However, "curses" are nothing like some people would have you believe.
Ignore that Tut reference from another poster -- Carter actually lived for many more decades AND there was no curse written in Tutankhamun's tomb to start with!
As far as other curses go, they generally don't prohibit people entering the tombs. They say not to do things like destroy part of the tomb or enter while unclean (you were supposed to be pure before entering sacred space of any type).
These "curses", if you want to call them that, usually say things like "as for one who will destroy any part of this tomb, he shall be judged with me before the Great God." Not really as scary as the press and other sensationalists would have you believe, is it? Some of the more entertaining ones say that someone who violates the tomb (i.e., damage it or make it unclean) will be raped (it actually uses a more vulgar word) by a donkey. As far as I know, no one has been raped by a donkey because he hacked out a tomb owner's name!

It never happened literally, in other words there has never been a person who was eaten by a crocodile nor snake because he/she entered a tomb. There have been cases of death though reported in the 1920s and 30's about mysterious deaths. Some of the Howard carter team (discovered tut ank amen tomb) died. Perhaps the most famous death was that of these Lord Carnarvon. He had been bitten by a mosquito, and later slashed the bite accidentally while shaving. It became infected and blood poisoning resulted.
Other death were blamed on dormant bacteria in the tombs that have not been exposed for thousands of years. In a nut shell, the curse if a myth, it was made famous by the media and has continued to the present.

i idea that the great Pyramids were outfitted as tombs for the King's of Egypt to bypass into the after existence. yet even as i realized that there have been no bodies of the King's contained in the pyramids then I wondered if there replaced into yet another purpose for the pyramids. After observing an episode of historic extraterrestrial beings, I have come to trust that the great Pyramid is the oldest potential plant on the earth. To make a lengthy tale short, there are passages contained in the pyramid that connect with a room contained in the pyramid. that is conceivable that 2 chemical substances are despatched by those passages to create hydrogen, the most important source of potential contained in the universe, also between the first atoms created. This potential plant may be doubtlessly potential satellites in area and be performed by the Nile River to create an electric powered go by the realm. recognize imagine about that.

the antiant egyptian engineers who design these tombs add many traps to protect these tombs from stealing, besides they wrote on the tombs about curses and so on, but if u want the truth it's only traps.
but they used to put with the bodies food and drinks, and the tombs was closed for thausants of years, that food makes a very hurting bacteries in the air inside this air inside could hurt who open it, but when this air gone it's ok.

I think some some do. Ancient Egyptians did have a vast knowledge of black magic, but perhaps some of them placed fake curses in their tombs just to scare away burglars.

only if you believe it. i.e. search for a hungry crocodile and wrestle with it, to see if it would actually eat you.
