I am 25 weeks and am prone to UTI's. My urologist has had me on antibiotics since about 12 weeks and now says I need to be on them for my entire pregnancy. I'm taking Macrobid which is a pregnancy class b. She's consulted with my OB who says this is okay, but still I get nervous about taking any drugs especially for my entire pregnancy. Has anyone else had to be on medication for their whole pregnancy?

I have been on Macrobid 3 times during my pregnancy. It will not harm your baby!

no, not my entire pg. but here about a month ago. i went to the doc. and i had bronchitis and they said it was so bad that in 2 more days i would of had pnemonia. so i was very ill and they put me on alot of meds. at that time in my pregnancy i was around 28 weeks pg. and they has me taking 3 different kinds of meds. i was taking 3 thousand mg. of anti-biotics a day plus robitussin and two other meds. so as u can tell i was very worried about my baby also, but they reasurred me that it was okay, and also your doc. isnt going to gave u any-thing that will hurt and jepordize the well being of your un-born child. i know where u r coming from. but, they do no what is best for u. congrats and good luck.
