you need a cd burner. they are usually labelled cd-r and cd-rw.

you need a cd-r or a cd-rw cd.

a cd-r is cheaper but you can only write once.
a cd-rw can be rewritten on many times, but is more expensive.

you can burn files onto a cd, or mimic the music cd's that can be played by normal cd-players.

windows xp comes with the ability to burn cd data files. some music programs may come with ability to burn music cd's (or in pro version (which costs money))

nero or roxio are the most common cd burning software. they are very easy to use. they may have trial versions. they often come free when you buy the cd-burner. there are also other programs that burn cd's.

You have to have stored all the MP3 files you want for you CD in a disk on your computer. You also need to have a CD drive that has a WRITE capability. You also need a CD-writing program like NERO or HOTBURN. If you have those it is easy.

Put a blank CD in the drive. Call up the writing program by clicking on it. It will give you two windows (NERO for example). The one on the left is the CD directory. The one on the left is the computer directory. Hit browse on the right to get the sub-directory with your MP3 files. Drag a copy of a song you want from the right side to the left and drop it there. The left will show that song name and how much of the CD you have filled. Continue till they are all there or until you have filled the CD to the max. You could also let NERO play any of those songs to check them. Type in a title for the CD at the top of the box on the left. Now click on WRITE CD choice from the File menu. NERO will verify that those song files are OK and then will write the CD as fast as it can. When it is done it will eject the CD. You can save the list of songs in case you want to make another CD with the same ones or you can just exit.

First thing u need is a CD writer in your computer Then please insert a brand new CD in the drive then if you have the latest version of windows Xt version you can right click the icon of a file and click the 'SEND To " Option then you can click the CD WRITER DRIVE ( CD - RW Drive ) so that the file will be burnt to the disc . If the disc is a re-writable one you can erase and re-write any no of files as per the above mentioned procedure

go to comp usa or best buy, get blank cds. not dvd's. Get sonic software package or roxio. then you can either follow the soft ware instructions or burn maneully. you can do it yourself by formating the cd first and then dragging and dropping.
