This morning i have received so far 8 phone calls from a stranger telling me the he loves me, that i am so pretty and that i am very kind. I asked him where he knows me from and who he was. He then asked me what nationality i was so i told him i was a black person. He then went nuts, swore at me and said some very abusive things about black people. I told him that not all people are bad and he swore at me. Since then i have reported him to the police and he has stopped phoning. The police were very helpful, i just wanted this guy to know that i wont take rubbish of that kind. Would you have reported him as well, i also gave them his phone-number .

Hey, I live in Costa Rica, don't get many phone calls, but when I do, they are always for Rosa. at least once a day II pick up the phone and a voice will say "Esta Rosa en Casa," "Puedo hablar con Rosa?"

I tell them they got a wrong number, and they say "What happened to Rosa?" Or "No, no, I have the number for Rosa."

For the last two weeks I have been giving the sad news for male callers that Rosa has been jailed for prostitution , and for the ladies, I pass on the obituary, Rosa having left this life over the weekend. Still, I will get a call or two today.

I have been expecting to pick up the phone and hear, "Hello, this is Rosa. Been any calls for me?"

lol yes indeed, my ex sister-in-law sometimes calls me to chat, well, i can always hear the ice cubes clacking in her glass, after about an hour she is drunk and the stuttering of her words unfolds, this is when she tries to get me to marry her, hA!!! indeed, i have to always listen to her reasons we should marry, none of which are valid, nevertheless she is unwavering in her quest, i always say no, then i have to listen to her say; " well, i'll just head out down to my closest bar and find a husband there!! " really now?? i bid her good luck, then she hangs up on me until her next try. Who in their right mind would marry an alcoholic?? She may be blonde and hOt, but.................. i could never marry into a situation where i know trouble would always be around the corner, where instead of a drunken phone call, a close encounter of her mouth right in me ears would target me awake time! i don't even go visit her, i'm afraid her bathtub would be filled with wine or booze and me on the rocks!! ;-) ♪((ºLº))♪

I think you handles the situation pretty well. After the second phone call, I would have made it very clear that his call wasn't welcome, and would have hung up. Since you were able to give the police his phone number you must have Caller ID. I wouldn't answer any more calls from that number.

Good Luck.

Yes, absolutely, I would have reported him. He sounds like a creep.

Do you live alone? If so, get a male to answer the phone a few times if it starts again. Also, contact BT's nuisance calls dept, there's quite a lot they can do.

Some people are mentally ill and require help. You were right to pass this problem on to the authorities. I just hope the person gets the help he needs.

If he rings again...do NOT hold any converstaion with him or even tell him you have spoken to the police...hang up. Also contact your phone provider eg BT... They should be able to suggest if they can block the number.

Think you can call BT and get them to put a block on that number. What a world full of wierdos.

You could in the worse case scenario arrange for your telephone number to be changed.

Network providers are quite sympathetic in those instances.

I would have someone else answer (like a brother or boyfriend) the next time he tries to contact you
